I am going to be at the ALL Essex and East Anglian Branch tomorrow at a special event at Woodbridge School, Suffolk, from 9.30am-3.30pm.
I am one of 3 speakers and will be joined by Eva Lamb, (Chair, South Yorkshire ALL and Language College Director of King Edward VII School), and Bernardette Holmes (Regional Centre Manager for Links in Languages in the East of England. They will give talks on alternative certification to GCSEs and Plurilingualism under the banner of Keeping Languages Alive – the new challenges of 14 – 19 sector and I'll be focusing on the new GCSE speaking exam and implications for the way we teach speaking.

During lunchtime there will be a presentation of “Activihub” by Peter Hughes of Linguascope.
