ALL West of England Branch - ALL Ways to be Creative Saturday 7 March 2009

As I'm heading today straight from school to this event and won't have access to the blog until after it's happened I'm preempting and uploading all the materials from my keynote presentation and workshop now.  So in anticipation of a great time on Saturday and the meeting of lots of enthusiastic and like-minded teachers here are the workshop materials.  The theme of the whole event is creativity in the new secondary curriculum (so a fairly wide remit then!).  Some of these materials I have uploaded previously or just tweaked from the ALL London event last month.  However, the I spy creativity ones are new to this blog.  I owe the idea and inspiration for all of these to Adam Cooke, Lead Professional for Norfolk LA and if you follow the link you will see the original French version of the materials he created with teachers in Norfolk.  I have adapted them for Spanish (adapted with permission from Adam and Norfolk LA - the copyright holders) and added more explicit links to phonics in the version of the materials that I've put below.  There are MASSES of these!  To get an overview I would suggest you read the suggested Download SpanishSpySchemeofWork6Lessons for the 6 lessons.

These are a mixture of word docs and the phonics starters are all in PowerPoint.  For PowerPoint versions of all the documents in one huge presentation, download this instead.  I have put notes below most of the slides with an outline explanation of what to do with each activity.  The song file is NOT embedded within the PowerPoint (copyright reasons) but you can easily download it from itunes and I've put the title of the music in the notes for the song slide.
