Hello there!
As you will hopefully already be aware, ALL (Association for Language Learning) has been given a key role in supporting the roll out of the new KS3 curriculum for languages. There are a team of Regional Subject Advisors who are now working on behalf of ALL to support this process. In East Anglia, I am one of a team of 3 RSAs. The developments so far include a timeline for support and events as follows:
Preparing for the new Key Stage 3 Curriculum - Monday 3rd December - Over Community Centre. This is run by Mark Oliver, LA advisor for Cambridgeshire.
Session 1: The new KS3 Curriculum: Introduction, overview and opportunities - Wednesday 16th January from 4.30 - 6.30p.m. at Comberton Village College. This will be session 1 of 3 twilight for the programme. It will give an overview of the changes and some examples of possible ways of working whole school and in individual departments. Click Download RSA_session1.ppt
to get the presentation for use in disseminating further to your own MFL departments or other local schools.
